Discover Flying R/C Club was founded in 1982 by a handful of model airplane enthusiasts. We are a chartered club by the Academy of Model Aeronautics (AMA). Our location on Cape Cod is adjacent to the historic Cape Cod Airfield and offers aviation enthusiasts with a nice variety of flying from models to full scale and historic biplanes, banner planes and skydiving.

We are a community of hobbyists who support other members by sharing knowledge and experience to help others grow and improve. We gather for periodic events to support groups we have chosen in our community and introduce their members to our hobby. We hold cookouts and gatherings for our members throughout the year to encourage camaraderie and swap stories. We have teams of member volunteers to help maintain our field and facilities in top condition.

We support novice flyers with flight instruction and continuing guidance in selecting equipment, maintenance, and repair.

We maintain one of the finest flying fields in the AMA Northeast District that includes large grass runways, picnic tables, startup benches in the pits, and sanitation facilities.
